About Us
The Bicycle Center was started in 1968 in Fairfield, CT by John Coulter. In 1984, John moved the Bicycle Center to its current location on Federal Road in Brookfield, CT. Since opening, the Bicycle Center has picked up several new product lines and companies and continues to grow every year. The shop works closely with sales representatives from various companies to make sure every customer gets exactlty what they're looking for.

The current owner, Shawn, has had experience in the bicycle business for over thirteen years. Beginning his career as an assistant he grew to become a master mechanic as well as a sales manager. He currently builds his store based on customer service and honesty. He is just as happy to sell a tricycle as a carbon road bike. He has competed in Triathlon, Mountain, and Road racing; while not skilled enough to race the Tour de Frnce, he incorporates his infectious passion for cycling into the everyday business of the Bicycle Center.
